A Chair In The Sky

From 30,000 ft.

All of the drama and pain

All of the fear

Seem so very

Small.

Circumstances are hard to change sometimes.

Gaining a new perspective

Is a great way to start changing

Me.

[Poem #47.]

  • Love this! Although…you and I have very different opinions about flying (I’m very much afraid). But I do agree on this point: perspective is critical. And too often we only see our own narrow little bubbles, rather than the larger world around us. Hope you are doing well! (This is from Twitter user @RSwithRickets; I hadn’t been on Twitter for a while until recently.)

    • Jessica!! Hey, how have you been? I’ve flown quite a bit in the past 6 days (from VA to AZ and back) and looking at a mountain for example at 30,000 ft. is very different than standing on the ground looking up at that bad boy.

“And too often we only see our own narrow little bubbles, rather than the larger world around us”- so very true. I know I get caught up in my own stuff and not notice all that is around me.

I saw your book came out, how great is that! How is it panning out?
