Sometimes we get so caught up in doing, it’s difficult to quiet down and reflect. My work here, the Project Leap of writing a poem a day, has been spotty at best.
My wife’s health has been a concern and a launchpad for growth. For us personally and professionally. Since August 1st, we’ve been to the hospital 7 times for complications with our pregnancy. She was placed on bed rest at the end of September, which has caused us both to be creative in our time management and in taking care of baby girl. She is 15 months! Kwayze :-).
In the midst of the stress and worry, I am thankful for so many things.
I’m thankful for my wife, a beautiful warrior in carrying baby boy during this season of pain and uncertainty. She is an inspiration, not only to me but to more people than she probably realizes.
I’m thankful for our church community who has rallied behind us by providing meals, encouraging words, and other acts of kindness. You all are spankin’ fantastic.
I’m thankful for my job and co-workers for working with me during this season. Bdub rocks!
I’m thankful for baby girl, you have been a constant source of smiles and happiness for me. Look at you walking and running! When you read this in the future, your baby doll was a Godsend and your smile lit up the house.
I’m thankful for friends who helped us out in so many ways. You all have no idea how much we appreciate you.
And I’m thankful for you, dear reader. Thank you for coming by this corner of interwebs.
Poems to continue soon.
Wherever you are, I hope you are safe, well, and able to rest in hope.
