A Slow Demise

Golden wings

Flapping violently above the branch.

Snared by a trap laid by the master architect.

She slowly glides down her web

Latches onto her prey

As the butterfly’s wings began to slowly

[Poem #216.  Context: I watched this transpire today, watching a butterfly die.  It was surreal to watch, the circle of life and all that I suppose.]
