From The Sky To The Sea

Like waves, we roll on Wendell via Compfight

Foot by foot

Yesterday’s pushing towards

Moments filled with expectancy.

Shall I continue

A Mad Libs life, desperate to fill in the punch lines.

Not caring who drew the lines in the beginning.

A light cast down
Brillance igniting my soul to desire
An aftertaste of dreams and failures are mine.
Filled from the sky to the sea.

Hope like a friended

Familiar face from so long ago

How was I to know about rescinding control?

An albatross of sighing hung round my neck.

A chalice of gold runneth over with regret.

Responsibility, she’s a tough tough professor.

A light cast down
Brillance igniting my soul to desire
An aftertaste of dreams and fragile faith is mine.
Filled from the sky to the sea.

Indelible, insatiable, my humanity left a mark

Like a hickey on my soul.

A collar of familiarity flipped

As I pretend to be whole.

I’m too proud to ask, and do I even want to be free?

Patched up and healed, a brand new identity.

Then who does that make me now?

I want to be me now…

A light cast down
Brillance igniting my soul to desire
A sea breeze as I see, breezes the birds so high
An aftertaste of my dreams and forgiveness divine.
Waves crash down, washing away the dirt and the grime
As I’m filled from the sky to the sea.

Filled from the sky to the sea…
