On Life: Embrace the Mess

What if our lives looked like this picture?  The letters appear out of “order”, but making sense only to a few.  What if our decisions were mixed up to other people, yet we see the outcome and results.

We are responsible to ourselves.  We have the outstanding gift of “choice”, which is exciting and scary at the same time.

Several times in my life, I tried to make my letters spell the word “correctly”.  Not knowing that if I jumbled my letters, the word is still there and readable.

More jumbled words create a jumbled sentence, then a jumbled paragraph that looks outside the normal expected parameters.  Yet, still readable.

I realize that I’ve embraced many restrictions, but I’ve begun the purging process to embrace the mess.

Sometimes our lives become “out of order” or mixed up or messy.  That is ok.  In fact, that is great. The word is still there, your life is still beautiful and awesome.  Everyone of us is unique and so is our lives.

We all want to feel alive in our work, in our spirituality, in our relationships.  Sometimes to get there, the road is curvy and full of hills.  Perhaps that is the way you have to go to get to where you want to be.  So go, color everything on the paper except the picture.  Go, embrace the mess.  Go, be alive.
