Love creates an imbalance.
Most of the time, love is wielded as a business arrangement. Quid pro quo. You do for me, I do for you, and it’s all good baby. The funny thing is, love is anything but a transaction. If you go 50% and I go 50%, then we really don’t have much.
The imbalance creates a gap which we yearn to fill.
Whoever loves the most- whoever dares to risk, initiate vulnerability, assumes responsibility for the relationship, creates space.
The gap is a garden where hope, grace, forgiveness, art, and all manner of wonderful things can grow.
