Oh, my arms are broken
Still I carry these wounds.
And oh, my legs are broken
Still I try to run away
From you.

I’ll use anything as a
Cover from all of this rain.
I’ll even give you a smile
A cover for all this pain.

It’s raining and I’m hiding.
I’m bleeding and I’m hurting.
But it’s all under cover
So I’ll tell you I’m doing just fine.

Oh, my arms are broken
Still I’ll carry this world
On my shoulders.
And oh, my legs are broken
Still I’ll stumble through this life
Learning to walk, over again.

And I’ll use anything as a
Cover from all of this rain.
Oh, I’ll even use a smile and a laugh
A cover for all this pain.

It’s raining and I’m hiding.
I’m bleeding and I’m hurting.
But it’s all under cover
So I’ll tell you I’m doing just fine.

Oh God I need some healing.
I’m used to hiding under cover.
These wounds are too deep to bear.
So their buried deep under cover.
Oh God you carry me now
My whole life is broken.
And I can’t hold you back.
As this pain washes over me, you
You even hold me up to
To stand with broken legs, to
To stand in all my pain
Do I, do I even want to be whole?
Broken for far too long, it’s
Easier to live with all my pain
Than let you heal my heart, faith
Faith that you’ll rescue me so,
So all that’s left of my life
Is a little me and a great big You, a
A healed heart, mind and life
With no need for any more
Cover.

A healed heart, mind and life
With no need for any more of this
Cover.
