We Remember

A young boy salutes.

A girl runs to hug her mother.

Their tears, cleansing.

A nation says thanks you.

What is the ROI for sacrifice?

What is the measure of a woman or man

Who rushes headlong into danger

Fighting for justice, for the present, for generations to come.

A nation says thank you.

Two words which carry the hopes of millions.

The choices which you made are inconceivable to a civilian 9-5.

We honor you.

We remember those who have fallen.

We, with utmost certainty, proclaim from our youth to our elderly.

We will remember you, always.
